AHS uses PBIS to support all students and especially to influence positive behaviors. According to The Center on PBIS, "Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based three-tiered framework for improving and integrating all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day." Our PBIS system utilizes the acronym G.R.I.T. to help our students remember proper behaviors that they should be displaying every day.
As an outcome of this we want our students to be GENUINE, RESPECTFUL, have INTEGRITY, and TENACITY. When students display these behaviors they earn points, which can be given by any staff member. The students can then use these points to register for events and raffles in which prices are given away. The items that you would be supplying would be going towards the raffle events. The raffles are our students’ favorite way to use their points. The raffles also give a chance for our remote students to be involved in PBIS.
Donating these items will keep our students engaged and invested in PBIS for the remainder of the 21-22 school year. This not only affects my classroom, but the whole entire school, and my hope is that we help our students learn how to become successful member of this school and society.
