I want my first graders to enter a classroom every day that is inviting and organized. I want it to be the type of classroom that students are excited to be in every day! I think the more students feel at home in a caring environment, the more learning takes place. Flexible seating has become a cornerstone of my classroom. I have seen engagement increase, and behavior issues decrease. I give students the tools they need to be mindful, and kind citizens in the classroom, but more importantly, outside the classroom where life happens. I have found that students will rise to the expectations you set for them, so the sky is the limit for these fabulous firsties!

About my class
