By having a variety of leveled books the students will each have the opportunity to learn new things about the world while practicing their reading strategies. Nonfiction leveled readers are critical in our ever evolving world. These books will allow our students to learn about many new topics such as animals, plants, places around the world, cultural differences, and community helpers. Nonfiction books will enable our students to learn about the world and practice beginning reading strategies every day during our Readers Workshop time. During with this time, students also partner read and therefore share many new ideas with each other, adding to the learning possibilities.
