Many of my students need to move while they work. They have no other outlet for their energy. Moving is a must. It allows them to be more focused when working on core subjects. This may be the only time during the day they will have the opportunity to have flexible seating. I want all students in my special education classroom to reach their goals and for some moving is what they need to do. This also helps them become more focused when they are in other classes. The opportunity to get their wiggles out would be amazing for them.
