I teach 5th grade, all subjects. Most of my students grew up in our community, a rural area in southern Idaho. They are eager to learn and love technology. Some of my students do not have a computer or Internet access at home and rely on school to be able to do all their online research, word processing and math homework on Khan Academy. I teach my students Microsoft Office software to meet their basic needs for word processing, spreadsheets and PowerPoint. Silver Trail Elementary is a K-5th grade school with two Special Ed Depts. and is a full inclusion school. Our community has very little industry or large business to enhance our tax base for levies/bonds. Our district relies on our homeowners for supporting our programs. A large population of our students are on free and reduced lunches.
