Students are given many demands but fall short on the materials needed to support those demands. They often use old, worn out books and some classrooms do not have smart boards or plain white boards. They should have the same opportunities that others in more fortunate communities may have. I want my students to be confident in their mathematical abilities, and the Fire Tablet will help them improve. 6th grade students are at a critical time in their life when their education is becoming an important part of their life. Students at this age become restless and bored very easily in class. I have tried several strategies to keep students engaged. DonorsChoose.org may be my way to accomplish this.
