Our students deserve quality tools for their investigations of geometric constructions and design. Students will explore creating parallel lines, perpendicular lines, and circumscribed figures. They will also be finding incenters and circumcenters. An understanding of geometric constructions is often needed by our skilled laborers. These concepts are best learned through hands-on experiences and patience. If the compass moves every time it is placed on the paper, the students focus more on the failure of the tool than the content of the lesson. They may not remember the detailed steps for creating these constructions, but with the proper tools they will get a deeper understanding of these concepts. This deeper understanding will allow them to better problem solve situations later in life.
