There is a corner of my room that has book store written all over it. Two walls want book shelves holding books of every genre and level leaning against them. The floor is crying out for a comfortable, warm rug and soft, cushy bean bags to relax in and allow a child to choose a good read. We need a comfortable, relaxing area to browse through the classroom library, read, and open new worlds. Studies show that the more you read the better reader you become. Reading and writing are also the core of all other subjects, so our corner needs to be welcoming! We want our students to develop a life-long love of reading because "The more that you read the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you'll go." (Dr. Seuss)
