During my 8 years of teaching Kindergarten, I have learned that students are more engaged when they can make choices based on their varying needs. Students are excited and motivated to work hard during opportunities that involve peer interaction and movement. By having flexible seating options, I can create opportunities for the students to make choices on what is best for their individual learning style. The wiggle stools and balanced balls may be used at large rectangle tables or with clipboards around the room. The cushions and bathmats allow students to work on the floor and gives them ample and comfortable personal space to learn. The knee pads can be used for work at the low rectangle table as a cushion to sit on or kneel on. The folding trays provide a stable and hard surface that can used on any floor space. Flexible seating empowers the students to develop their metacognition and can help reduce the amount of behavior problems that occur in a classroom where flexible seating is not embraced.   Flexbile seating will help foster my kindergarteners' decision making skills. Your donation will give the students power of choice and movement! Together we can create a comfortable environment where students can develop their love of learning.
