The minds of the little ones are still growing at 5 years old. From the time they walk into the classroom door and step away from the outside life, I want my students' to feel a sense of relief. I want my classroom to have a welcoming and warm environment. Using the mailbox and organization station, students' should feel organized pushing them to their best selves. This is as simple as extra pillows to lay around while reading a book or feeling organized by having their own "area" within their chair pockets and mailbox. I want my children to laugh but be challenged. I want them to feel excited while being entertained. I want my students' to remember where all of their success began, in Kindergarten. I have also requested whisper phones for some friends who need the extra push to stay focused on their assignments rather than the distraction around them. I have requested Amazon fire tablets, as well as cases and headphones, because of the learning programs we use to see student growth (i-ready, smarty ants, etc.). These programs not only work with the students to see which level they are at academically but also provide challenges to help each student grow academically. This type of technology is crucial to our students learning and academic growth.
