My Class In August, I will welcome a new group of excited, fun, energetic, first graders all ready to learn! This will be my 12th year teaching first grade and my first year teaching in my little home town. One thing I can tell you is true about starting a new year regardless of location, is we will all be excited, a bit nervous and ready for our new adventure that makes first grade special! My goal each year is to inspire a love of reading and writing that will last my students a lifetime. My Little Town My town can best be described as a "Small Town with a Big Heart". The population is just over 700 and the tax base is small. However, the community is wonderful and it is a wonderful place to call home.
