My class is Middle School age, identified moderate and severe students, most with Autism; all are non-verbal. We also have hearing impairments and visual impairments. The school is a Special Needs School. We love Science activities in our class; sometimes the activities are ideal for touching, but many are too small for all to see or could be harmful to a child that does not understand that we should not touch some things and never taste them. A document camera would enhance our science and all other subject lessons amazingly. We could watch ladybugs hatch and grow or look to see the mint letters on coins and many other interesting things. The students with Autism are highly visual learners, but all learners do well with multiple input types increasing the chances of learning. The headset would make it so we could match words or pictures, especially unfamiliar ones by hearing and seeing them simultaneously on our Smart Board. Please open up our world to more learning opportunities. Thank you
