The Mimioview Document Camera will allow me to teach the children drawing lessons from "Drawing Children into Reading by Wendy Halperin. Her lessons teach everything from proper pencil grip and fine motor skill to following direction and spacial awareness. We will be drawing everything from pencils to dragons and castles. I have found that many students that struggle with reading/writing can be wonderful artists and by letting the write about their own drawing can really give them a boost in their self esteem. All Kindergartners can can benefit from the ability to create and this program gives them the confidence to create new and wonderful pictures and stories.
