I have a very active group of 2nd graders this year. Many students have a hard time maintaining focus and stamina throughout the school day and need to have a lot of movement opportunities. My students engage in the workshop model for Math and ELA. This model offers numerous chances for movement and wiggle breaks. However, during small group instruction, students have a hard time maintaining stamina and focus.
