I teach third grade in a diverse neighborhood. I have students from diverse cultures, social economics, and learning abilities. A third of my class is from a special education program. I have so many different learning styles in my classroom, technology is a great faucet in which I can engage all my students. Our district's focus is for our students to be 21st century learners, which has a huge focus on technology. However, our district does not have the funds to provide the technology that our students need to become 21st century learners. My students as most students are more engaged when instruction is provided through a visual support using technology. I have a great group of kids who would benefit from having technology incorporated in their instruction.
