I teach at a suburban school with a diverse population. I have students from middle class families and those that are new to this country with little resources. I have several students that have no access to technology at home. I tend to work with students who are insecure in their abilities in math. I love to see that student tackle a math problem in a different way and then encourage them to take risks and show others how they reached their answer. By showing the actual work, they can easily share how they approached a problem in a stress free manner without having to recreate the work. The confidence that a students can gain by using a document camera is amazing! To see that student take their knowledge, expand it, and share it with others is one of the most exciting things a teacher can experience!
