This year, my students are taking ongoing notes in an Interactive Notebook. Interactive Notebooks differ from traditional note taking by creating an immersive experience that involves cutting and pasting pictures, diagrams, vocabulary words, and other media into their notebooks. Interactive Notebooks provide students with a portfolio that contains their new findings, all while tracking their growth as scientific learners. My students use their Interactive Notebooks almost daily as a resource to help them complete their assignments, projects, and study for their tests and quizzes. Interactive Notebooks also accommodate multiple learning styles and encourage students to organize and synthesize their thoughts in ways that are meaningful to them. By donating to this cause, you will be directly helping my students create journals filled with scientific information they can keep for a lifetime.
