I currently teach 30 first grade students in a charter school located in the Bronx. By the end of the year I want my students to be ready for second grade. Within my class I have a variety of different types of learners. This is why I try to incorporate as many different activities as possible. I try my best to make sure that they have all of the support they need in the classroom. All of my students learn differently and sometimes this can be a challenge, but I incorporate different activities that allow all of my students to participate in each lesson. My students have high energy and I try to use this energy in the lessons I teach. These first graders benefit from kinesthetic learning and visualizations. They love wiggling and fidgeting around!
