This year I bought LED lights to place around my Word Wall to attract my student’s attention. It has been one of the best tools I have invested in. My students love to see the color change, and I have a light helper that is in charge of turning the lights on and off. These lights have shown me the benefits that light play can bring to the classroom. My students will love to have a color-changing light table, they will be engaged in learning and exploration. Exploration is the best way to learn in the early years of life. I would love to give my students more opportunities to play with light and color while learning important math concepts. This will help build math skills that will benefit them greatly throughout their entire lives. Since a color-changing light table is something that my students are not able to experience at home, it would be a great addition to our classroom experience.
