I currently utilize the back of a bookcase to mount chart paper on with push pins. I also purchased out of my own pocket a small whiteboard that is used for small group work or whole class lessons. It is extremely important that the students have curriculum content visible as a model for them to reference to and support them throughout daily lessons. I am limited to the workspace I have to display lesson content and vocabulary that can stay up for the duration of the unit. The Smartboard in the classroom is a very effective tool, however, can only display one screen at a time. The students would benefit from having this easel available for them to refer back to as they independently work on activities.
