iPads will allow my students to use many engaging, educational applications to further their understanding of concepts. They will be able to reinforce learned concepts such as letter identification, letter sounds and numeracy skills. They will have the world at their fingertips. My students will be able to view maps, architecture and people of different countries. They will be able to listen to stories, songs and poems. They will be able to take pictures in the classroom and outside. For example, when on an autumn nature walk, they can take pictures of trees; later, they can view pictures and draw in their science journals what they saw, using the pictures as a reference. The uses are endless. The children will greatly benefit from the many uses of having iPads in our classroom.
