I am super excited to offer my students different types of activities to get their creative juices flowing. When I mention technology my students think of iPhones and computers. When I mention engineering they think of building a bridge or structure. I want to change their thinking! We need three Geckobot Wall Climbing robot kits and three solar robots to help them understand how to create a robot that will do a specified task. By allowing my students to experiment with these robotic kits they will see how technology and engineering mean so much more than what they originally thought. I want to use these robotic kits to not only teach my students about engineering, building and design, but I want to pose challenges to them and see if they can adapt their robot to meet the challenge. I am sure these kits will engage, test and excite my 8th grade students.
