These iPads are compatible with phonics based Evidence Based Literacy Instruction (EBLI) apps that will allow struggling readers to practice phonics skills and help them unlock the code to the English language making it possible for them to read with fluency and comprehension. There are three apps that provide engaging and independent practice with segmenting, blending, phoneme manipulation, handwriting, sight-words, and homophones. Students can use these supplemental apps independently during their reading intervention classes to strengthen their phonemic awareness and phonics that are taught through direct EBLI instruction in one-one or in small groups.
