I want my students to have options and to make positive choices on their own. Allowing my students to choose where and how they sit in my classroom gives them the ability to make choices for themselves that will benefit their learning. I also want my students to be able to choose what they read. I want to grow my library by adding many book series and books with messages about being kind, safe, responsible, respectful, and present There is power in choice. Students need to be aware of what works best for them when they are learning and growing as scholars. I have included seating items like: pillows, laundry baskets, and stools for students to choose from. I have included book sets like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I also included books that build character like: Sorry, Just Kidding, and Confessions of a Former Billy.
