Starting as kindergarten and first grade students and now fourth and fifth grade students, these children have built a blazing path of success in our school, district, and state as students that are exceptionally intelligent, curious, and responsive learners. As fourth and fifth graders, they are more fluent when compared to high school Spanish V students. Because they are learning content in two languages every single day, they have to focus. They have to actively think about the languages, and build the connections of the content between Spanish and English. Not only do they spend half of their day learning reading, writing, math, Wyoming history, United States history, and science in English, but they also learn similar content, as well as the Spanish language, for the other half of the day.
