My class is a 4th-grade REED Program. This is a class with both Special Education and General Education students. They love to read actual books as opposed to tablets or computers. Having a variety of text levels and text subjects keeps the kiddos interested in reading. As in other classes, some of the kiddos cannot read at grade level. Having various levels of books in the class library to select from, encourages them to select a book to read without the embarrassment of reading a book that is obviously below grade level.
