My students this year are lacking in literacy skills and I want to make that my main focus. The kidney shaped group table means that my students can focus and engage during guided reading for the best literacy environment. While I am teaching my group the other 24 students will be actively engaging in the Reading and Writing Instant learning centers. It is important that the other students are learning at this time because every minute counts. The Scholastic magazines are one resource that I believe is top notch. This magazine will come weekly with current events, literacy skills, smart board activities and online resources. My students will utilize these resources and become exciting and engaging literacy learners!
