All of the kids in our classroom have Autism. They have many disabilities, but some protrude more than others. All of their disabilities affect their ability to learn, so we use different tools to help them focus on their task and we are hoping these chairs will add additional assistance for them. Staying focused is a difficult task for many students, but these chairs have helped in the past and we are hoping they continue helping our students now and in the future. Many of our kids constantly rock in their chairs, so we will use the rocking stool for those kids to be able to have the constant motion while learning. We have used these chairs many times in the past, but throughout the years, they have become well used and now need replacing. Many times our students also use sensory tools to calm their bodies so that they can learn. In addition to keeping their attention during a task, these chairs also provide that sensory assistance to get students back on track. The bean bag would provide a comfortable place for students to read quietly while calming their bodies in order to learn. The fitness ball also provides this calming tool because it provides a safe way for kids to get their energy out in the classroom. It will additionally be used as a fitness tool to help build their core strength. Would you please consider helping us fund this project to provide our students with another means of assistance?
