Shakespeare is scary for so many people but not my fourth graders! We have started to explore the fascinating world of Shakespeare. We need books, books, books! The students love to read different versions of the plays. I love learning from other experts on how to make Shakespeare interesting to a young child! The students are open and fearless, they make many relevant connections to today's world! I have mostly funded this new endeavor myself but any help would be wonderfully appreciated! The early exposure to Shakespeare's themes and language will carry over to the students' future! Our final project will be the students taking a scene from a play we have read and modernizing the language. They will create their own production!
