With the donations received, I will be able to create a comfortable collaborative, learning environment for fifth grade students. The idea of meeting students "at the rug" is beneficial for all ages. However, at certain age, students become uncomfortable sitting at a rug. Having students come to a meeting area suitable for 'bigger' kids will benefit my students. With the donations, benches will be purchased to place around the front center of the classroom. This will minimize distractions and focus our learning. We will be able to come to these benches and collaborate our ideas and knowledge to develop a deeper understanding of our curriculum.
