All of the students in my class are bilingual. They are very energetic and enjoy learning in cooperative groups. Although they are developing their English language at a steady rate, writing is the one area they need to improve the most. As many of their parents only speak Spanish, they don't have much help at home with their studies. They also lack resources needed for them to succeed in the academic arena. These students come from a school community where 90% of the population is low-income.
