I am a first-year special education teacher that is eager to get the children to love to read. As a preschool teacher, it is my responsibility to create a foundation of the love for reading. I am also excited to create a literacy-rich environment that will instill a love for reading and the love of books. I would love to introduce the children to diverse authors such as Moe Williams, Dr. Seuss, and Judy Schachner. These authors have great illustrations, they are funny and also engaging for children. Having a new library for my preschoolers will create excitement and love for reading. This new library will also give the students the opportunity to listen to books on tape and CD's. This will give the students confidence and independence to listen to book on tape and it will also add the element of technology to the classroom.
