My students and I attend a one school district. The student population is varied in ability and personalities. Our school is in a rural setting with cows, horses and chickens in view from the playground. Many of the students have brothers and sisters or cousins that also attend the school, so there is a sense of family. The staff feels responsible for their students' level of achievement in all academic ares, but understand that reading is an important foundation for all learning. My job as Reading Intervention Teacher is an extra spot of encouragement for our students on their journey to success.
