Providing students with literature they select, excites them! When students are excited about what they are reading, they read more. When they read more, they learn more! I want to provide as much student-selected literature as I possibly can. Research has proven that students who can choose what they want to read, will read more often. The more choices I can provide, the more often students will pick up a book. As students grow as readers, they improve their skills in every subject area, increasing their capacity to better themselves not just in reading, but in science, math, foreign languages, and history.

About my class
