Five and six year olds need to move! It is very difficult for them to sit and do tabletop work during the school day. The young children in my class often have difficulty staying in their seats and concentrating while they work. They struggle with regulating their bodies and staying on task. Rocking chairs can help with this! If the children are able to move while they work, it will improve their focus and concentration. Rocking while working will increase my students' attention and allow them the movement that their little bodies need! These chairs will help meet the needs of all my students by allowing flexible seating options. Students will be able to have their sensory needs met and have an easier time concentrating.
