Someday Birds is an excellent novel that focus on multiple story lines as a group of siblings sets off on a road trip across the United States to be reunited with their father. It is a great opportunity for students to analyze different character perspectives against the backdrop of natural and historical sites across America. The many unique differences of the main characters will give all students the opportunity to empathize or relate to this fantastic book. This will allow us to delve deeper into our standards of plot, theme, and character analysis. Overall, this book is a bridge to learning, but it is so intriguing that students will not even notice the work that we put into the learning.
