These books and library space will help my students to explore the world through books. My goal is for my classroom library to be a place to find a diverse selection of books as well as a welcoming environment where my students' imaginations can run wild. Every student in my classroom is paired with a book that matches both their interest and their reading abilities that they read during their independent work time. Each book will also be used as part of our reading lessons. They will be used to highlight model how a fluent reader reads aloud. My students will use them to identify text features, character traits, plot, themes and so much more. With theses books, the students will be able to chose a book that interests them and is connected to their lives. The best way for a child to become a better reader is simply to read more. These books will help my students to grow even more in their ability to read and in their love of learning.
