During our first year of VITAL programming, our class created cards, gift tags, decorated planters, ornaments and magnets, using tools available to the classroom or purchased with profits. They sold well but this year, we hope to create a more professional set of products. Students will use professional crafting tools to learn how to create professional products to sell. Students who leave the VITAL program with practical vocational skills will be able to fully participate in their lives and communities after the little yellow bus stops coming. Along with the skills learned while creating products, students expand their communication skills, professional etiquette, sales skills, money math and work ethic.
