To give my students their best chance of success and growth, they each need a copy of the literature we are reading and exploring. Students sharing a copy of a book will not allow for optimal growth and will make reading tasks very difficult. Students also need a copy of the text that they can have with them at all times during the entire unit of study to refer back to during assignments that extend out of the classroom. This is especially true with an allegorical text like George Orwell's Animal Farm. To really understand and grasp the true message of this text, students need access to a copy of the book that they can keep with them at all times.
