These materials will provide my students opportunity to explore and grapple with the real life issue of energy resources through hands on exploration. Hydropower is a local energy resource for our community and being able to explore ways hydropower has been used past and present will grow student understanding not only of this energy source, but also of the history of this community, which was intentionally built Along the river with hydropower in mind. In these kits students will be able to learn more about renewable resources and will be able to build a hydro powered water wheel, sawmill and more.
