My students need a variety of quality math supplies to help support and strengthen their understanding of difficult math concepts. Items like linking cubes, tens frames, and movable clocks help to solidify big ideas like addition, subtraction, and telling time. These items also help engage students' bodies, as well as their minds, which brings joy and play into the classroom. When students can interact with math in a hands-on way, their learning takes off! For example, when students can use realistic coins to practice counting and identifying amounts of money, their ability to do so in the real world is much stronger. The use of hands-on materials makes a dramatic difference in student learning.
