I teach second graders and every student is eager to learn and be engaged. I like for my students to take an investigative approach to learning about reading, writing and social studies. Seven and eight year old children are full of questions and it's my role to encourage that and help them to navigate through their world. In my classroom during reading, you might see children reading books silently, children reading on computers or an iPad, children reading in a group or individually with me, or children reading in pairs. My classroom is busy at all times with a variety of different activities all happening smoothly at the same time. Most of all, you would see students happy, engaged, and enjoying what they are doing.
