Knowledge is power...that's my motto! I teach Second Grade at a Title 1 school in South Florida. The majority of students I work with qualify for free/reduced lunch, come from diverse cultures/backgrounds, and are English language learners. Knowing this, it is especially important for me to establish a safe and positive classroom community and academic environment, where a life-long hunger for knowledge is fostered in each and every student. I want to be that teacher who students reminisce about during their graduation or when they're hitting an important milestone in their lives... I want students to be able to say, "Because of Mrs. Bitzkowski, I fell in love with learning."
