Nowadays, most testing and check ins are done through various computer programs. With this, comes distractions. I can’t tell you how many headphones I have already bought and gone through in such a little amount of time. These will benefit my students and allow for them to focus in on the screen in front of them, as opposed to what’s going on around them. In addition this, my students will be able to finally feel like they are “book shopping” when choosing new books (that coincide with our Lucy Calkins’ curriculum) to put in their new book bins. Lastly, I am so excited to finally add another carpet in my room that will officially create a new Math space in my room. Having one carpet has limited the movement within my room throughout the day. My students will now have a new place to sit and learn in my room!
