By having an iPad, the students will be able to access specific programs that were created just for them. Programs that are sight word based are perfect for my students. Also, by having more books in my classroom library, the students will be able to have more choice and enjoy practicing the skills they are learning each day. Many of my students have fluency and comprehension deficits, which makes reading a challenge. I want them to know that they are capable of reading. To do this, it is important to find books that are interesting and fun to read, while still allowing them to thing critically.
