Our school has an 80 percent poverty rate. All students receive a free breakfast and most receive a free lunch. Our class is a very diverse group of students with different needs, cultures and backgrounds. Many of the first grade students don't have access to a variety of books or technology at home. They love to read, and are eager learners. Our classroom is a safe space where they can learn, grow, while practicing kindness, caring, and gratitude.

About my class
