I teach 4-6 Emotional Support in a low socio-economic school district. All my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Their school days starts at 8:25, and some of them stay in school until 5 pm (if they participate in our after school program). Most of them come from single parent households. My students have big dreams for their future, and I want to make sure that they achieve the goals they set up for themselves, and make those dreams a reality. I want them to have the same opportunities students in other school districts. In order to accomplish that, I usually select projects that will enhance their learning, as well as make their schooling experience a positive one. My students are very creative, talented, athletic and funny. My goal is to provide them with skills that would help them become productive and successful adults. Thank you for supporting them!
