These materials are essential for students to deepen their knowledge of literacy. My teammates and I will read aloud books such as The Grouchy Ladybug where we will focus on skills like identifying the main idea and supporting details. In the book Frederick, we will work on comparing and contrasting. While reading Olivia, students will work on drawing conclusions. All of these skills are necessary for students to become successful readers. These books will also enhance the language-rich classroom we strive to create. We are working to broaden the exposure of literature by incorporating read-alouds students will find engaging. These materials will help us do just that!
