Having the option of flexible seating will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. It will allow students to take the initiative to engage in a more comfortable learning environment. When students feel comfortable, they are able to focus on learning. As a teacher, I want the best for my students. I believe that when a student's environment promotes positive engagement, encouraging collaboration, and room to grow, students succeed. "Learning should be an active process. Too often, students come to school to watch their teachers work." - Will Daggett. Please consider partnering with me in creating an environment where my students can teach each other, while actively learning and collaborating. The flexible seating options I have chosen will help aid in this production. The balance balls provide students the ability to move as they work. The plastic stack stools, bucket lids, and foldable ottoman cubes are all light weight materials that students can use around the room and move as they please. Flexible seating will help promote a more productive learning environment.
