We are teaching a new generation of students- students engrossed in anything and everything connected to the online world! As teachers, we are learning to how to teach with technology in a way that motivates, inspires, and prepares students for a world inseparable from the information age. During these unique and fast-paced times, our classrooms must reflect the changing world around us. Opportunities to use technology intentionally equips our students with the 21st century skills necessary to be successful in a changing world. While teaching online collaboration and technological skills may not ever make it into the curriculum, it is crucial that teachers make a place for it. This is the rationale behind the chromebook project. This project hopes to provide students will increased instructional time with technology. Students will use this chromebook not only to learn, but to demonstrate their learning. With this project, my students will have the opportunity to use google applications for education to collaborate and learn- a skill that will follow them throughout their life and careers.
